He was in the ring with the best of the 1980s. And Mr. #1 George South still has fight left in him. South, a 6-2, 240-pounder from Atlanta, wrestled preliminaries on house shows and TV in the 1980s and 1990s, including a memorable 20-minute-plus match on TBS against reigning NWA World Champion Ric Flair in 1988. These days South still wrestles occasionally while also running a wrestling school in Concord, N.C.
