The featured match pits former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Nash and his mystery tag-team partner against the former three-time NWA Tag Team Champions, The Rock-n-Roll Express, Ricky Morton, and Robert Gibson.  The 7’ 1″, 300-plus pound Nash and the small but wily Morton have had a bitter, blood-letting feud dating back a decade.

The Awesome Wrestling Entertainment extravaganza will be available for live viewing at 9 PM/ET – 6 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, AT & T and Verizon in the United States, as well as Bell TV in Canada, for a suggested retail price of only $24.95.

The broadcast will also be available live on an Internet pay-per-view basis at

www.AWEonPPV.com and www.GFL.TV.

Funk vs. Dreamer is drawing as much fan attention as the featured match. This one is mentor vs. protégé, teacher against student, plus an overabundance of mutual respect between the two combatants. The inspirational Funk, a two-time heavyweight champion in the ECW and NWA, has taught Dreamer, a 14-time WWF/WWE Hardcore Champion and two-time ECW world title-holder, most of what he knows about wrestling.

“Someday,” Funk explains, “you have to pass the hat. But, I’m not ready for that, not yet. If I had to pass it, the guy I’d pass it to is Tommy Dreamer. He has a lot of guts and ability, and I’ve always felt that way.  He’s a very sharp guy in the world of professional wrestling, and he came up through the school of hard knocks. I certainly don’t want to pass the hat, but Dreamer has paid his dues. It’s certainly going to be an interesting match.

“I am his mentor and have been since he was a young man. I’m his mentor … but he still wants to kick the crap out of me. I guess we all feel that way. I’m really looking forward to fighting Tommy Dreamer. I can’t beat him, but I can outsmart him.”

Other wrestling icons among the 30 all-stars being showcased at the AWE Legends event include  Diamond Dallas Page, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Fit Finlay, Amy “Lita” Dumas, Perry Saturn, and many more.

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan continues his fan-supported patriotic theme, waving an American flag as he enters the ring, and then using his trademark 2 X 4 on the hated Arab-American oil magnate Mohammad Akbar.

After a nine-year absence, past WCW and WWE star Perry Saturn makes the biggest comeback in wrestling history, against feared enforcer CW Anderson.

Also scheduled to be in action are Fit Finlay and  21-year-old rising-star and hot AWE World Heavyweight prospect  “Loose Cannon” Alex Silva, who will be aided in his corner by “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel.

Included in the non-stop action Awesome Wrestling Entertainment card are Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll in addition to The Midnight Express, Ivan Koloff and Tommy “Wildfire” Rich.

All wrestlers and matches are subject to change.
