Update on condition of AWE Founder Marvin Ward

AWE Founder Marvin Ward was injured in an incident in the parking lot outside the AWE Training Center in Fishersville on Tuesday afternoon.

Details on the incident are still unconfirmed at this point in time. What we do know for sure is that Ward was transported to a local hospital for treatment and released late Tuesday night.

Ward’s wife, Stacie, also an exective in the company, told AwesomeWrestlingEntertainment.com Wednesday morning that doctors told her that Ward suffered an apparent concussion. Photos posted by Ward’s daughter, Brittany, on Facebook early Wednesday morning show a bloodied Ward on a stretcher being attended to by EMTs.

“I’m not allowed to say much right now but I want you all to know Dad is going to be ok,” Brittany Ward posted along with the picture on Facebook.

The news that Ward was in the hospital sparked an outpouring from fans on the AWE’s Facebook page.

“We will keep him in our prayers. If there is anything we can do, please let me know,” fan Trevor Tomlin commented. “Praying all is OK,” fan Rebecca Nutty posted.

Ward’s personal Facebook page was filled with similar well-wishes. Stacie Ward said this morning that she’s received numerous phone calls, texts and e-mails from family, friends and AWE fans.

“I just want to thank everybody, and I want everybody to know that Marvin is going to be OK,” she said.
